This is where you’ll end up

Your main focus will be on developing, improving and maintaining our consumer-facing digital products. Such products include our web apps (the website and dashboards for our customers) and mobile apps (the Vandebron Thuis and Vandebron EV apps). Across all of these products we share a similar tech-stack: React (Native) with TypeScript, and we use Scala for our API's. For this specific position we would value proven expertise in building UIs (with React), and in-depth experience with web technologies (preferably TypeScript). All Vandebron developers have a full stack mindset, so we would value willingness to expand your knowledge and jump into (new) technologies in addition to the ones you are already familiar with.

You will be surrounded by a diverse team that strives to push each other forward, and you will become an integral part of this by also sharing your own knowledge and expertise. In addition you will work closely with our designers, product owners and stakeholders to help shape the future of Vandebron.

This is how you make a difference

• You have multiple years of working experience as a software engineer

• You have strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience

• You have proven experience in building web applications (React experience strongly preferred)

• You are highly skilled at understanding and translating user needs into features

• Bonus points if you have experience building mobile applications (preferably React Native)

• Bonus points if you have experience or interest in functional programming (preferably Scala)

• You are a quick learner who values personal development by keeping up-to-date by reading books, tutorials, blogs and joining meetups

• You are a passionate developer and you motivate the developers around you (by sharing your knowledge and your enthusiasm)

• You are familiar with software testing methodologies and frameworks

• You are familiar with Docker

• You are motivated for the mission of Vandebron
